Riverboat goes into winter break<\/h5>\n

The season is over and it’s time to send our two faithful companions, the Orso and the Pulpito, into their well-deserved winter break. After many unforgettable moments with birthdays, engagements, stag parties and family celebrations on board, the boats need to be brought back into top shape for the start of the season on April 1, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Together in the shipyard – an autumnal adventure<\/h5>\n

On a beautiful fall day, we brought the Orso and the Pulpito from Heidelberg upstream on the Neckar to the shipyard in Neckarsteinach. A number of helpers were on hand to ensure that the three lock passages ran smoothly and to enjoy the breathtaking autumn scenery along the Neckar with us.<\/p>\n

A picturesque trip along the Neckar<\/h5>\n

During our relaxed drive, we were able to admire the beauty of the Neckartal-Odenwald Nature Park, which spread out before us in dazzling autumn colors. Passing impressive sights such as the Benedictine Abbey of Neuburg and the picturesque Neckargem\u00fcnd, as well as the four castles on the Neckar near Neckarsteinach, we were once again reminded how privileged we are to call Heidelberg our home and to be able to experience the wonderful Neckar landscape.<\/p>\n

Preparations in the shipyard<\/h5>\n

After arriving at the shipyard, the Pulpito found her winter berth at the shipyard. The Orso was carefully lifted out of the water by crane. After a thorough cleaning of the hull with a high-pressure cleaner, the Orso was transported by crane to a hall at the Ebert shipyard in Neckarsteinach. Over the next few weeks, it will be completely overhauled and lovingly made ready to go again.<\/p>\n

We look forward to the coming season from April 2024<\/h5>\n

We are looking forward to varied work in the fall and winter months to ensure that our guests can experience unforgettable moments on the Neckar again next year. The Orso and Pulpito can now be booked<\/a> for 2024, and vouchers<\/a> for a trip in spring or summer are also available on our website.
