FAQ2024-01-27T17:57:07+01:00
Are dogs allowed on board?2025-04-24T16:27:48+02:00

Yes, they explicitly are. If the dog wants to sit on the cushions, we ask that you provide a suitable pad to protect the cushions.

Are there sanitary facilities?2025-04-24T16:28:01+02:00

We generally recommend coming on board with as little load as possible, as we have no toilets. There are public sanitary facilities a few meters from our landing stage under the Theodor Heuss Bridge. During the trip, however, we are also able to moor at several shore points where there are public sanitary facilities nearby.

What about safety on board?2023-07-10T14:23:02+02:00

Our boats are of course equipped with everything that guarantees safety on board. All legal requirements are met – from the life jacket to the signal horn.

How fast are we traveling?2023-07-10T14:22:37+02:00

We’ll take you across the Neckar at an incredible 5 km/h. We can go faster, but we don’t want to. You will notice that this is pure deceleration!

How many guests are allowed per boat?2023-11-24T14:47:55+01:00

Our historic wooden boats can take 12 guests at a time. One of our captains is always on board to take you safely across the Neckar. Of course, children are also welcome on board – but we ask that you always keep an eye on the little ones.

Where are we going?2023-11-24T14:48:08+01:00

During the 1.5-hour jaunt, we drive up and down the city (marked in green). On the 3.5-hour cruise, we also sail through the canal towards Ladenburg, a very idyllic section with lots of nature to the right and left.

Of course, you always have the option of tailoring the trip to your wishes, for example with an extensive stop in front of the old bridge and castle for unforgettable photos and reels.

Where can I park?2025-04-24T16:28:36+02:00

There are 2 parking garages in the immediate vicinity, the P16 (Uferstraße 5, 69120 Heidelberg) and P6 (Untere Neckarstraße 2, 69117 Heidelberg). Please make sure that you allow enough time to drive to Heidelberg’s Old Town and find a parking space, especially on Saturdays.

When and from where does it start?2025-04-24T16:28:44+02:00

Our season starts on April 1st and ends on October 31st.

We are allowed to drive 24/7. Departures can be booked online daily from 10-22 hrs.

For individual requests such as a sunrise tour, a full mouth ride or a birthday party, please contact us.

Our boat trips always start at Uferstraße 7, 69120 Heidelberg, at the pedal boat rental.

How should you dress?2023-11-24T14:47:44+01:00

In sunny and warm summer months, all you really need to think about is sun cream and a hat. The closer the evening approaches, the fresher it can get on the water. A sweater or light jacket in your luggage is not a bad idea. In spring and late fall, you should always have a jacket with you. We recommend that you check the weather forecast before setting off. You are protected from the rain on our boats.
